Common use

Trim Z is primarily used for assisting with weight loss and is a part of the group of lipase inhibitor medications. Dosage and direction

Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. You can take it while having your meal or up to one hour after eating. Avoid meals high in fat while taking this medicine. Precautions

Contraindications

Chronic Malabsorption Syndrome: Individuals with this condition should not take Trim Z capsule as it could exacerbate their condition.
Cholestasis: This medicine is contraindicated for patients suffering from cholestasis.
If you are allergic to orlistat or any other ingredients in Trim Z, do not take this medicine. Always notify your doctor about any allergies before starting a new medication.
Trim Z is not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding. It's advisable to discuss your situation with your doctor before starting this medicine.

Possible side effect

Trim Z may have the following common side effects: Steatorrhea: This refers to the presence of excess fat in your stool; Abdominal pain and discomfort; Diarrhea; Flatulence with discharge: This means you might experience gas accompanied by an unexpected oily discharge from your rectum; Increased bowel movements; Oily spotting and evacuation.

Drug interaction

Immunosuppressants: Trim Z may reduce the absorption of medicine like cyclosporine, which might decrease its effectiveness.
Thyroid hormones: The absorption of medicine like levothyroxine may decrease when taken with Trim Z, possibly requiring dose adjustments.

Missed dose

If you forget to take Trim Z, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Never alter your dosage without discussing it with your doctor first.

Overdose

If you accidentally take more Trim Z than prescribed, you might experience symptoms like abdominal discomfort and increased bowel movements. If these signs persist or worsen, it's vital to inform your doctor.

Storage

Store Trim Z at room temperature. Keep it in a dry area, away from exposure to direct sunlight or moisture. Ensure the capsule is kept out of reach of children.
